One week in Paris, the other in Grenoble (Southeast France near the Alps). Not wanting to ruin everyone's vacation (including my own) I kept my kit lean, 2-3 fixed lenses, a small bag, and no tripod. I was determined to capture what I saw spontaneously, raw and without the heaps of gear I tow around daily back home. With most days spent in the rain, Paris wound up looking a bit grittier than your typical vacation photos (but who wants "typical" anyways?). Grenoble on the other hand was mostly sunny, which was great for photographing the rich landscapes and vibrant colours found in the towns and small villages surrounding it.
